Fran Moore, WoodcarverUntil the age of 42, eighth grade shop was Fran's most creative endeavor. Years later while restoring an old house, he discovered that he liked the design portion of remodellng. He was referred to the highly regarded German master woodcarver, Ludwig Kieninger and was taught by Ludwig for 13 years before poor health curtailed Ludwig's teaching.

Fran's wife and friends were amazed that he could perform in numerous media at such a level as a hobby, and so at the urging of his wife Fran began to make his work more public.

What you see here is a sample of his work. His earliest pieces he copied because, "I didn't know how to draw," so those are not for sale. His later pieces, after years of study and practice, are available for purchase.
